These Bite Size Apple Pies are so small, but healthy, delicious and perfect to pop in your mouth when you are craving something sweet!

All my live I have loved small, cute things. I doesn’t matter what it is, if it is a miniature made from polymer clay, a newborn animal or a bite size food. Small things just warm up my heart.

Sometimes I just want a small snack, something to satisfy my sweet craving. If you follow me for a while you know that I am literally ADDICTED to apples and recipes which include apples. So yes, this small apple pie snack is perfect to make me happy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples
  • 1 tbsp cooked quinoa
  • 1/8 -1/6 tsp cinnamon

Start by peeling and cutting one of your apples in to small pieces. Put the pieces into a small saucepan and add a little bit of water to make sure the apple pieces don’t burn. Cook until you get an applesauce consistency.

Cut the other apple into 1/2 centimeter thick slices. Now take a small circular cookie cutter or for example a bottle cap with a 3 centimeter diameter. Push the cookie cutter or other circular shape into the apple slices as many times as fits in the apple. Now take out the apple circles and put them on a plate.

Take about 1 small teaspoon with your homemade applesauce and put a bit on top of every circle, carefully spread it out and make sure that the sides are nice and look clean.

In a small bowl mix the quinoa and cinnamon and put some on top of the applesauce.
